🦋🌿 From Tree to Classroom: Mr. Preston's Biology 2 Butterfly Project 🌿🦋 A couple of weeks ago, Mr. Green reached out amongst our MACA teachers to see if anyone was interested in a few Swallowtail caterpillars he was removing from his tree. Naturally, our self-proclaimed science nerd, Mr. Preston, jumped at the chance and turned them into a class project! 🧪📚 Today, Mr. Preston shared some exciting news—one of the caterpillars has entered its cocoon and will soon emerge as a beautiful butterfly. 🐛➡️🦋 Stay tuned for more updates as we watch these amazing creatures transform! 🌼✨

💧 SOAK A SENIOR SUCCESS! 🤩

Our incredible Seniors took the plunge yesterday and showed amazing initiative by hosting their own Soak a Senior Fundraiser! 💦 Students purchased cups, buckets, and even ice buckets of water to pour on them for a cause. It was a complete bucket of fun and an absolute blast! 🥶 Every splash helps fund their legendary annual Spirit Week Pep Rally! 🎉

We are so proud of our seniors for taking charge and making this happen! Way to go, Class of 2026! 💙💛

💙 Honoring Ms. Phyllis Broussard! 💛

Today we celebrate Ms. Phyllis Broussard, our amazing PE teacher who has been with MACA since the very beginning—20 years ago! With an incredible 38 years of teaching under her belt, she has inspired countless students with her energy, humor, and heart.

The school was definitely a little quieter today… since yesterday was her last day! 😉 We’ll miss her big personality and all the fun she brought to MACA.

We sent her off the right way—with delicious cake, thoughtful parting gifts, and lots of laughter shared with her MACA family. 💙

Thank you for your years of dedication and love for our MACA family! 💛🏫

🚁✨ MACA’s JAG students had an incredible opportunity today as Ms. Heather D. Bob and Dr. Charity Schaffer from Southern University and A&M College’s Agriculture Department – SARDI Campus visited for an exciting Drone Demo Daze experience! Students learned about drone technology through interactive demonstrations and even got the chance to fly the drones themselves! 🙌 This initiative connects directly to STEM curriculum by highlighting drone safety, aviation basics, and real-world applications in fields like agriculture and environmental science—all while encouraging problem-solving, critical thinking, and career exploration. 🌱💡 #MACAJAG #DroneDemoDaze #STEMEducation #CareerExploration #HandsOnLearning #MACAPride

🛠️✨ Today, MACA’s JAG students celebrated Manufacturing Day with an exciting tour of Noble Plastics in Grand Coteau! They got a behind-the-scenes look at modern manufacturing. 💼 They also heard from amazing industry leaders like Dirty South Calls and Master Peace Herbal Care.
